Press Release

The Concours Mondial du Sauvignon is offering producers the opportunity to secure exposure and awareness market-wide. Now, more than ever, players in distribution channels and consumers need reliable quality cues.

Due to its outstanding aromatic qualities, Sauvignon is a crowd-pleasing varietal on a global scale. The judging panel, which is entirely comprised of professional tasters, shares a passion for this grape. During the tasting sessions, the wines are grouped into consistent flights which take into account the category, origin, blend proportions and retail price.

The Concours Mondial du Sauvignon is much more than just a competition – it is an event entirely focused on this one grape variety.

Registration

The competition is open, without discrimination, to all wines made from a majority percentage (at least 51%) of Sauvignon and/or Sauvignon gris, irrespective of the producer, origin or category. Since 2017, a new category has allowed sparkling wines made from Sauvignon to enter the competition. The closing date for registrations is 18 February 2022.
